300hr Program
Advanced Training

The Elemental Yoga 300 Hour Advanced Training Program is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Upon completion of this course, you may apply to be recognized as an RYT 500 through the Yoga Alliance. This program is a deep dive into your self.  You, as a participant, make a commitment to excellence. You commit to arrive, to learn, and to remain open and discerning. This program is intended as a launch station that will help you improve your life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

This program builds the skill of interoception - feeling from the inside out. This increases your emotional and physical intelligence and builds empathy for your present and future students. You will learn to translate your experiences in a way that is down to earth and relevant to your desired teaching population. Additionally, you will focus on building intuition through the self-reliance that is gained through regular sadhana.

Not only will you, the advanced student, become more effective at life, you will learn to guide others toward that same end. This program is personal and practical. Our methodology of self-improvement and service occurs on three main levels: structured learning, accountability/class assignments, and the willingness to continually take your next step in learning. If you hold fast to these three principles, you will enter the vortex of transformation. It is our honor for you to enroll in this program.

This training is conducted as a blend of live in-person classes, live online classes, and online pre-recorded coursework. All live in-person classes can be attended online as needed.

The 300-hour training program consists of an immersion ayurveda experience, apprenticeship, Advanced Classical Ashtanga Yoga, and Therapeutic and Adaptive Yoga.

This module focuses on building inner confidence by setting and achieving health and wellness goals. It places a special emphasis on learning about your own body and its elemental components as seen through the lens of ayurveda. You will be guided through both one-on-one and group interactions to establish core yoga and ayurvedic habits that help bring the body into optimal health.

This year-long module includes:

For the second half of the Take the Lead year, students will also serve as apprentices in the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Apprentices are expected to attend 100-200 hours of the teacher training program. As advanced students, apprentices will serve as mentors and role models. As a graduate of the Elemental Yoga 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, you will be able to integrate previously overlooked information. As a graduate of another 200 hour program, you will receive the foundations of our 200 hour course.

Advanced Classical Ashtanga Yoga Module

This module places a special emphasis on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This text will be the heart of the weekly study for the course. Additionally, students will learn advanced breathing exercises and delve deeper into the practices of meditation, mantra and mudras.

Every week you will be guided through asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation to explore the subtleties of your own mind and body. We will study from texts which focus on the energetic body, such as Eastern Body, Western Mind by Anodea Judith and Energy Anatomy by Caroline Myss. Subsequently, you will teach and share these powerful practices with fellow students. This allows you to immediately integrate your experiences into self-knowledge. Additionally, you will give presentations on your desired area of specialization.

You are required to teach 20 hours outside of class. This can be done through self-initiated programs and/or participation in teaching opportunities at Elemental Yoga. You will be supported by teachers and staff to set up a teaching situation that suits your needs.

Therapeutic and Adaptive Yoga Module

In this module, students will focus on functional movement both within the yoga practice as well as across other movement-based disciplines. Students will study posture and learn how to assess clients individually for one-on-one training. Students will learn variations of the traditional poses, which render specific therapeutic benefits for ailing students.
