Ayurveda

Ayurveda translates to mean "the science of longevity." It is a sister science to yoga. While yoga focuses on liberating the mind, Ayurveda focuses on achieving optimal health in the body in order to establish a deep connection between the two. Ayurveda is a science of the five elements - ether, air, fire, water and earth. It acknowledges that everything inside our body is a microcosm of nature. Therefore if we can attune ourselves to the rhythms and cycles of nature, we can achieve optimal health in the body.

Seasonal Cleanses
The juncture between the seasons is the time when our health is the most vulnerable. The excess qualities of the prior season present themselves as symptoms of excess in the body. For this reason, ayurveda advocates seasonal cleanses. Join us in October and March to reset your body, strengthen your digestion and clarify your mind. The primary food consumed during these cleanses is kitchari.
