12 Week Courses Begin January 3rd, 2021.
Hatha Flow Yoga is a practice in which movements and asanas (poses) are synchronized with the breath. At Elemental Yoga Therapy in Fort Worth, our hatha yoga classes consist of slow and mindful movements that are linked together to create a continuous, smooth flow. The slow, smooth movement is combined with extended holding times to give the students time to feel into their bodies. The synchronization of breath with movement brings a sense of increased focus. In our classes, we also integrate readings from saints or holy texts. Our Thursday 6:00 am and Friday 9:15am courses tend to be more challenging integrating a variety of standing, strengthening, balancing, core and inversion poses. The Saturday 9:15 am class include a variety of poses in a slow and accessible manner.
Therapeutic Yoga is a movement and breath based class that is simultaneously intended to be strengthening and restorative. The yoga movements will address core stabilization, spinal strength and joint mobility. The strengthening poses in this yoga class are taught in a way that is slow, intentional and accessible. This class is intended to be gentle yet strong. It is for beginners, students with minor handicaps and those who are looking for a foundational and meditative class. This class is taught by Brynn.
Sundays at 5:00pm
Yin yoga is slower moving focusing on joint mobility by relaxing the muscles to facilitate deeper healing and change. We use bolsters & blocks to support the body to hold postures for several minutes. Ease of breathe and movement is encouraged at any level, so modifications are offered for beginners to experienced.
